Known as the 'RAF Jacket,' this design was created by Leslie Irvin in the early 1930s and first produced at the Letchworth factory in 1931. Approved by the Air Ministry, it became standard issue for RAF pilots by 1932. Due to high demand during WWII, multiple manufacturers produced variations, explaining differences in sheepskin, colors, and labels. The FiveStar Leather version replicates the late 1940/41 four-panel style, including the collar strap originally designed for open cockpit flying. Featuring heavy-duty zippers molded from original pulls and die-cast brass buckles, this jacket delivers authentic details at an affordable price. Custom sizing is available on request for a perfect fit.
